Community of creatives from Rome, Barcelona and Berlin to design solutions for real-world problems

Rome, Barcelona, and Berlin will be the stage for the 2019 edition of the Creative Incubator, a unique program developed by Pi School in collaboration with the Art Directors Club of Europe. This year, the community of creatives will be designing solutions for real-world problems, transforming ideas into high impact and purposeful actions.

After working with over 90 talented individuals from all over Europe, the 2018 edition of the Creative Incubator concluded with recommendations on the structural design of future creative organisations. The list of predicted tendencies explores competitive advantages to thrive such as decentralised organisations with collaborative hierarchy; organisations designed to be disconnected from the physical space; or even the rise of small and agile agencies.

The Creative Incubator 2019 will now focus on defining a creative standard, a process that enables upcoming generations to use creativity and design to apply solutions to real-world problems that go beyond communication campaigns.

Pi School and the Art Directors Club of Europe are heavily invested in redefining the creative process so it can humanise technology, ensure the uniqueness of humans, and balance out the shifts of this fast-paced world. To do so, Pi School and the ADCE are offering 90 grants covering 80% of the fees of the program. It is possible to apply directly on Pi School’s website.

The first module will be led by Conn Bertish, a multiple internationally awarded creative director and founder of Cancer Dojo; Axel Quack, strategy director at frog; and Jamshid Alamuti, co-founder and CEO at Pi School. Each of them bringing different approaches to the table, with high expertise in different fields of the creative industry.

The program starts in Rome (28th-30th March), in the unique learning environment of the Pi School Villa. It then moves to the home of ADCE at the Disseny Hub in Barcelona (6th-8th June), and finishes the incubation journey in Berlin (5th-7th September), at the University of Applied Sciences.

Similar to the previous edition, the results of the Creative Incubator will be presented at the 6th ADCE Creativity Festival, in Barcelona, and a white paper with concrete guidelines will be available for download.
