Spotify has tapped independent creative studio Convicts along with branding and design company Vocabulary to launch 'Spotify for Podcasters', a new campaign promoting the platform as a way for creators to launch original content. The new capabilities include everything a creator needs to produce, publish, and manage their own show.
The launch film features podcasters at every level of experience, from a chef creating a cooking podcast from his kitchen, to TikTok star Drew Afualo walking on to a professional set to record her show, Spotify for Podcasters isn’t just for big names, it’s for any creative mind with a story to tell. This service – which includes free hosting, recording and editing tools, video uploading, monetization and data analytical features – makes that opportunity more accessible for all creators.
“At Convicts, we believe that creators are the heart and soul of any project,” says Pete Maiden, founder and CEO, Convicts. “We’re sincerely thrilled to work on anything that puts creators first…and doubly thrilled to have worked on such a project with Spotify.”
Convicts lead the creative ideation, development and production of the Hero Film, while Vocabulary developed the brand identity and design system. The creative is currently live in US markets and globally.
