Center for Climate Integrity has launched a series of clever Earth Day spots which urge big corporations to pay their fair share toward solving our climate crisis. The spots, directed by Conor Byrne, use tongue-in-cheek humour and poke fun at traditional star-studded PSAs. With imposters playing 'Meryl Streep', 'Dwayne Johnson' and 'Leonardo DiCaprio', the campaign urges viewers to get the real facts on climate change and corporate polluters at BigOilBigLies.com.
ECD Ari Merkin from agency Ari&Friends said: “Celebrities are always willing to speak up for a worthy cause. We wanted to tap into that convention to make our point about climate change. With so much misinformation out there, it's harder than ever to know who to trust. We figured we could make it easier for everyone by making the lies more obvious. It's about time we had a brand out of there to call out the bullshit and course correct the narrative around climate.”
