Renegade Films has announced their expansion into gaming with the signing of BAFTA award winning duo Pachinko Pictures.
Renegades’ signing of Pachinko expands its international profile in TVC’s, live action film, television & documentary into the cutting edge world of gaming.
“Renegade has always been about storytelling through film. Today’s audiences engage with content across multiple platforms and in new and different ways. We see gaming content as one of the leading forms of engagement in the digital age. Pachinko has an excellent pedigree in this area, so we look forward to utilizing their expertise to help our commercial clients & our own productions face the challenges of the 21st century’ says Joe Connor, co founder of Renegade.
Founded in 2010 by mathematician-cum-BAFTA-winning director Ian Gouldstone & international games curator David Surman, Pachinko sees Renegade as a great fit.
“We’ve always believed that as the audience for games grows, it would make sense to explore new ways to create genuinely engaging and fun games for commercial Clients. Working with an established team like Renegade, we’re looking forward to taking that next step in developing authentic game content for advertisers”.
The new collaboration comes after the huge success of Pachinko Pictures’ latest mobile game, Lol-a-Coaster, for Chupa Chups and the Taboo Group. “We’re thrilled by the success of Lol-a-Coaster. It’s clear that Australian audiences are very hungry for high-end advergames. Fortunately we love making them!” said Surman.
