CHEP Network has won the creative account for food business Simplot following a competitive pitch, including a portfolio of brands like Bird's Eye, John West, Leggo's, Chiko, Chicken Tonight, and Providore.
The account was previously held by WPP's VML. CHEP begins working on the business this month, with a scope including strategic direction, ideation, and production for brand campaigns, product launches, and always-on activity.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Simplot – their business and brands are iconic," said Lee Leggett, CHEP CEO.
"The pitch process was brilliantly run, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with their team to build a brand that not only resonates with our consumer but also drives lasting growth through bold creativity and strategic thinking.”
Thomas Penn, CHEP's managing director in Melbourne, added, "We look forward to helping Simplot continue to build on the incredible success of the amazing brands that make up its business. It’s going to be a lot of fun."
The agricultural and food manufacturing business operates five manufacturing facilities and employs almost 2,000 people across Australia and New Zealand. Simplot acquired iconic brands like Bird's Eye and Chiko in 1995 to expand into Australia, and employs more than 13,000 people worldwide.
Last year, CHEP Network expanded its client roster with wins including Bupa, Tourism NT, University of Sydney, and Spirit of Tasmania.
