Celebrated Film Maker WIZ Joins Academy Films For Global Commercial Representation

Academy Films are very excited to announce that celebrated film maker WIZ will be joining them for worldwide representation in commercials, and joining their sister company A+ for content and music promo.

 

WIZ has made films with some of the most challenging and respected artist’s today, including Alexander McQueen, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Massive Attack, Oasis, Chemical Brothers, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys and Dizzee Rascal.  It was with the groundbreaking short film ‘Weekender’, a controversial film about the drug and club culture of the early 90’s, that WIZ came to prominence.

 

Renowned for an ability to elicit compelling performances within highly visual narrative, technical precision and resonant subject matter, WIZ’s work is always as arresting as it is sensual, and has earned him countless awards and admirers throughout the industry, including the coveted MVA Icon honour, joining ranks with the likes of Anton Corbin, Jonathan Glazer, Walter Stern and Jonas Akerlund.
