Portfolio review platform enables young creatives access to CDs from around the world

CDfeedback.com Helps Creative Directors Meet & Mentor Budding Talent

Networking with creative directors and gaining constructive feedback on ideas can be a daunting task for seasoned creatives; let alone up-and-coming art directors, copywriters and designers or students graduating from school.  But now a free new service is helping the next generation of talent to connect more easily with creative directors for timely guidance and advice.

Created by Anderson DDB, the new mentorship platform, CDfeedback.com invites students and young creatives to connect with creative directors from across North America and the United Kingdom to ask them for honest feedback on their portfolio.

“Most CDs enjoy meeting young talent and reviewing ideas, but they’re busy people whose work obligations often make it difficult to connect with practitioners, despite good intentions,” says Tony Miller, VP executive creative director, Anderson DDB.  “This new platform simplifies the process for both parties.  Young creatives gain direct access to CDs, who have agreed to review ideas and provide feedback at a time that is most convenient for them.”

To allow for ease of use, the submission process simply entails having students and young creatives sending a creative director an email and attaching their portfolio as a .PDF or sending a link to the selected creative’s personal site.

CDfeedback.com also includes a section of helpful articles and tips by Heidi Ehlers of Heidi Consults and by Suzanne Pope’s Ad Teachings.

The new portfolio review platform is supported by: the Miami Ad School, Humber College’s Bachelor of Creative Advertising program, Seneca College’s Creative Advertising program and VCU Brandcenter - with each program endorsing CDfeedback.com to its students and encouraging them to use the new tool.

CDfeedback.com now includes 37 creative directors from various networks and independent agencies, but is looking to expand the roster of reviewers.  Creative directors who wish to participate in the initiative and can commit to providing honest, timely feedback are asked to contact Tony Miller at tony.miller@andersonddb.com
