Carousel Announces Freelance Roster 'The Merry-Go-Round'

Carousel Collective grows with a new freelance editor roster dubbed 'The Merry-Go-Round' at Carousel. 

With the industry evolving with the demand for more freelance positions of all kinds, Carousel Collective has launched a partnership with an exclusive offering of freelance editors - who you can find at Carousel, or independently. The goal is to nurture talent with the support of a robust team of producers, assistants, and new state of the art studios and help grow their relationships through this partnership. The Merry Go Round kicks off with editors Laura Bermudez, Adrianna Merlucci, and Giancarlo Bauzulli. The freelancers are accompanied by Carousel’s roster of staff editors: Brendan DeLoach, Jesse Allen, Tina Mintus, Hanne Vaughn, and Arthur Kendall.

Plus, we all have really cute dogs.” Bermudez has been a prolific editor in the industry for 20 years and has worked with brands such as Google, Nike, Verizon, Ford, Spotify, Airbnb, Honeywell, Squarespace, Samsung, HBO, Condé Nast, Instagram, Lincoln, Amtrak, IHOP, Sprint, Clinique, Chase, The New York Times, & Ralph Lauren. She got her start working at Version2 as an Assistant Editor to industry legend Vito Desario. 

Freelance Editor, Adrianna Merlucci adds, “I'm SO excited to be joining The Merry Go Round at Carousel! My relationship with the team began in 2019 and I've felt like part of the family, versus ‘just a freelancer’ from day one. So, joining this roster feels like a natural progression! I'm looking forward to maintaining my independence while also having a home with the support and exposure the trusted team Carousel provides." Over the years, Merlucci has developed a successful career as a freelance editor, securing jobs with prominent brands such as Budweiser, Estée Lauder, eBay, Tumi, Walmart, L'Oréal, Gillette, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, and VICE Media. Additionally, she has worked on music videos and concert films for notable artists including Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey, Rammstein and Sigur Rós. 

“It’s great to be collaborating with a new team! Freelancing has and continues to give me the freedom of variety that keeps things fresh. Excited to have the added layers of support coupled with an opportunity to elevate my portfolio and relationships. I’m just happy to be here!” Bauzulli has made most of his career as a freelance editor and director, his path has brought him to the creative forefront of project collaborations with Peloton, Beats, Adidas, Daily Harvest, WhatsApp, Amazon, Moncler, Louis Vuitton, Patron and Levi's. 

After over two decades in business, Carousel’s co-founder Pete Kasko has navigated the industry’s ever-evolving landscape and harnessed the ability to nurture new talent. “My goal is to continue to develop more diverse partnerships and opportunities for Carousel, that’s why we’re kicking off this roster; to ensure we’re teaming up with unique talent to offer our clients.” 

The editors of The Merry Go Round at Carousel are available for both remote and supervised sessions in Carousel’s new office in the heart of Chelsea, NYC.
