L’Oréal Paris, the number one beauty brand in the world, has welcomed global star Cara Delevingne to the family as she embarks on an exciting new life chapter.
To accompany the news, Cara stars in a film created with long time agency partners McCann Paris. Directed by the agency’s chief creative officer, Julien Calot, the film is fresh and unapologetic, showcasing Cara’s charismatic personality.
“We opted for a free and spontaneous writing style in this film: an editorial video crafted like a music video. It provided an opportunity to explore, through quirky yet unmistakably Parisian scenes and Cara's impactful punchlines, the many facets of her strong personality, while staying aligned with the brand's values. This film highlights a powerful woman, free to assert herself and be whoever she wants, however she wants. Definitely 'worth it," said Julien Calot, chief creative officer of McCann Paris.
Cara is the latest in a long line of iconic ambassadors for the brand. One of the most influential faces since the early 2010s, Cara is a champion of authentic beauty who defined the look of a generation with her trademark 'boy brows' and continues to defy convention today. As a successful model, actress and activist, she has appeared on catwalks and magazine covers worldwide, starred in multiple films and TV shows, made her stage debut this year in London, and has advocated for LGBQT+ rights, mental health issues and climate change awareness.
Her appearance as L’Oréal Paris’ new ambassador marks the latest iteration of 'I’m Worth It' created by McCann Paris and can be viewed across a range of digital platforms.
“L’Oréal Paris is honoured to announce that Cara Delevingne joins our family of fantastic “women of worth” spokespersons. What a personality! From our first Preference coloration shooting with Cara, I was amazed by how much energy, ideas, and positive vibes she is bringing. Cara embodies our mission to empower women everywhere no matter what hurdles stand in their way, and she brought that same energy to this campaign, owning her strengths and desires but also her vulnerabilities and challenges, adding.” Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, L’Oréal Paris global president.
A queen of reinvention and an inspirational figure of resilience, Cara is always pushing the limits to free her own potential. She sends a message to all women that change is powerful and that there is no ceiling to ambition – making her the ideal spokesperson to carry the torch of 'I’m Worth It,' one of the most enduring brand platforms in advertising history.
