Capturing the Wild Beauty: Shooting the Lotus Eletre in Rural Catalonia

This project brought Altiplà Films an exciting opportunity to collaborate once again with the foreign production company, Untold Studios. Their vision for the shoot required a unique and beautiful road with a wild touch, setting the stage for an ambitious and logistically demanding production.

Overcoming Logistical Hurdles

Shooting on a public road involves intricate planning and execution. Securing permits, dealing with tight deadlines, managing road closures from various points, and anticipating numerous unforeseen challenges were all part of the process. Altiplà Films team’s ability to navigate these complexities was crucial in making the shoot a success.

The Perfect Location

Altiplà Films found the ideal location, three hours from its audio-visual hub in Barcelona, in a rural Catalan area near the French border. This remote setting required the team to travel and spend nights away from home, which fostered team building and strengthened the collaboration. The picturesque scenery perfectly matched the client's vision, making the effort worthwhile.

A Taste of Local Culture

Taking advantage of the rural escapade, the English clients had the opportunity to savour some of the most typical and authentic gastronomic products of our region. This cultural immersion added an extra layer of enjoyment to the project, highlighting the unique experiences that come with working in diverse locations.

Creative Excellence

On the creative front, Altiplà Films had the privilege of working with local director of photography, Chechu Pajares. His understanding of the brief and his excellent coordination of the two camera units - the camera car and the road camera - were instrumental in capturing stunning visuals.

Local photographer Carles Carabí also joined the team, perfectly capturing the essence of the client’s vision with spectacular photos. His work, which you can see below, truly brought the Lotus Electra to life.
