National Book Tokens has re-launched its popular Hidden Books game in the countdown to Christmas
The quiz illustrates 20 popular book titles without using words, then invites people to guess the titles to win a year’s supply of books.
All work has been undertaken by National Book Token’s lead agency Kitcatt Nohr and launched this week both digitally and in print across national press and social media.
Last year, over 65,000 people played Hidden Books and 24% of these joined the National Book Tokens membership scheme, Caboodle.
Harriet Elsom, Business Director at Kitcatt Nohr said of the re-launch: “The Hidden Books game brings books to life with 20 brain teasing clues. We were thrilled with the results of the campaign last year and hope to reach even more book lovers this Christmas.”
Mike Burt, National Book Token’s Marketing Manager, said: “We were gobsmacked by the response our Hidden Books games received last year, with over 60,000 players taking up the challenge to guess all 20 book titles. Some of the clues proved very tricky, with one lady guessing 587 times before getting them all right! This year’s competition is just as tough and will test how much of a bookworm you actually are.”
Since launching the Caboodle rewards programme last year, the scheme has attracted 150,000 members. Furthermore, the work has not only been shortlisted for the 2014 DMA awards, it also received plaudits at the 2013 Bookseller Industry Awards and Campaign Media Awards.
