Camp + King Strengthens Creative Team With Four New Hires

Jason Kim, Gustaf Jonsson, Rick Morrison and Evan Burton join the team

Advertising agency Camp + King has added art director Jason Kim, senior art director Gustaf Jonsson, senior copywriter Rick Morrison and copywriter Evan Burton to its creative department, partner Roger Camp announced today.

"I'm thrilled to welcome Evan, Gustav, Rick and Jason to the agency. Three of them are smart, talented, hard-working talents that I’m truly lucky to have as part of the team,” Camp said. “The other one has really great shoes.”

Jason Kim left New York to start his career at TBWA\Chiat\Day LA and work on brands such as Miller Lite, Nissan, Airbnb, Twitter and Best Friends Animal Society. He quickly learned to develop conceptual ideas in social, digital, broadcast and so on. Kim’s creative solutions have been recognised by the One Show, Clio and Art Directors Club.

Gustaf Jonsson comes from across the pond—Sweden to be specific. He has worked at agencies including R/GA, DDB, Crispin Porter + Bogusky and Argonaut. At each, he’s been instrumental in creating exciting work in social digital, broadcast and beyond for brands such as Anheuser-Busch, Cricket Wireless and BMW.

Rick Morrison started out writing at McKinney for brands like Nationwide, Samsung, Sherwin-Williams and Gold’s Gym. He also ghostwrote for the Travelocity Roaming Gnome’s social accounts, which Twitter awarded one of its rare #CreativeFavorite distinctions. Morrison’s work has been recognised by the One Show, Creativity Online and the New York Times, among others.

And Evan Burton has created work for several agencies, including Phil & Co, DeVito/Verdi and VaynerMedia. He’s crafted content and campaigns for brands such as Mountain Dew, Starbucks, Tough Mudder and L’Oreal Paris. His work has been recognised by the Young Glory Awards, the Shorty awards and covered in Digiday and Adweek.
