West Coast creative advertising agency Camp + King has announced that it has promoted Emily Dillow and David Morrissey to group leads, effective immediately.

Dillow, who was the agency’s first employee when it opened its doors in 2011, has been promoted to director of brand. Morrissey, who joined in 2017 in the new position of strategy director and head of communications planning, is now director of strategy and a junior partner. Dillow was made a junior partner in 2017.

Previously, Dillow was a brand director overseeing RE/MAX, Prana, Nature's Path, Akili, and new business efforts. She will continue in that capacity but will now also oversee the entire brand group and weigh in on issues such as servicing structures for accounts, staffing, training and other departmental duties. She has more than a decade of account-management experience working with Fortune 500 clients such as Capital One, Google and Walmart, among others.

Morrissey helped build out Camp + King’s communications planning practice and has been overseeing strategy for accounts such as Nature's Path, Akili and Prana. He has helped brands communicate more effectively across traditional, digital, social, direct-response, thought-leadership and sales-enablement channels for more than 15 years.

Morrissey’s previous agency experience includes McCann Worldgroup, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett USA, and Epsilon. He joined Camp + King two years ago from MRM//McCann where he was VP, global group strategy director. His prior account experience includes Cisco, Intel, Verizon, Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase, CDW and Purina, among others.

As junior partners, both executives are part of the management team and will help to shape the overall direction of the agency.

Dillow and Morrissey report directly to CEO Jamie King, who previously ran those departments. He said, “These promotions represent the next phase of our agency’s strategic approach to an ever changing industry environment. They are both incredibly bright, talented and have a great sense for what is needed for brands to succeed today. Emily and David helped lead on many of Camp + King’s recent successes — and we’re confident that will continue.”
