BONAPARTE Director Caraz Soars Through the Eras of GORE-TEX

Introducing GORE-TEX - Our Work Is Never Done, directed by Caraz, and produced by Berlin based BONAPARTE, in collaboration with creative agency AKQA Berlin.

The film takes us on a journey through forty years of GORE-TEX history, showcasing the evolution of the brand with an adventurous and exuberant energy through Caraz’s mixed media vision. Lensed by up-and-coming cinematographer Tim Bieker, with a vibrant and dynamic approach. 

AKQA creatives, Andre Blanco and Alex Rose elaborated, “to capture the brand’s history in 60 seconds, we journey through time and space, using vintage cameras from each decade. Shooting with 8mm, 16mm, VHS and old iPhones was as exciting and aesthetically rewarding as it was challenging. The soundtrack was another key element to the storytelling, developing and changing seamlessly according to each era.”

The film leaves us in the present day, not only announcing GORE-TEX’s new line of innovative gear, but also with a deeper understanding and appreciation for how we got there.
