Bob Giraldi joins an illustrious group of advertising legends by becoming the first film director ever elected into the Advertising Hall of Fame, the highest honor bestowed within the industry. Giraldi was selected by the Council of Judges from a distinguished list of nominees, who cited his vision, ground-breaking innovations in the advertising world and exceptional community service. The induction ceremony will happen in New York in April 2013. Fellow members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2013 are Phil Knight - founder of Nike, Shelly Lazarus - Chairman Emeritus of Ogilvy Mather, Byron Lewis - founder of Uniworld, Gerry Rubin - founder of Rubin Postaer, Bob Scarpelli - chairman of DDB Worldwide and Rance Crain - president of Crain Communications.
