Binge Watch This Showcase of Awesome ANZ Creativity

The past six months or so have seen some corkers from Australia and New Zealand. Get yourself a cuppa – or a stubbie if you want to get into the mood – settle down and binge on some wonders from Down Under…

Melbourne International Film Festival - ‘The Emotional Trailer’

McCann Melbourne and Airbag used electro-stimulation to essentially remote control people’s emotions to create tailored film trailers for different movies. Smart.

Canon - ‘THE LAB: DECOY’

The person behind the camera is more important than what’s in front of it when taking a picture. Canon and Leo Burnett Sydney demonstrated this with a thought-provoking portrait session.

Toyota - ‘Call of The Wild’

These poetic animals are give it all (literally) to be atop Toyota’s latest ute in this brilliant spot by Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand and Robber’s Dog director Adam Stevens.

‘The Ugly Xmas Rashie’

RUMBLE Creative & Media tackled high rates of skin cancer in Australia with a southern hemisphere equivalent of the ugly Christmas jumper.

Western Sydney University - ‘Deng Thiak Adut Unlimited’

VCD + WE.Collective and Finch’s Jae Morrison tell the incredible story of Deng Adut, who as a child was forced to fight in Africa until he was smuggled out and made a new life in Sydney. This film is for Western Sydney University.

McDonald’s - ‘Would Do Anything for Love’

DDB Sydney and The Sweet Shop’s Noah Marshall big up dads in the spot McDonald’s spot that won’t fail to slap a smile on your face.

OMO - ‘Real Play Experiment’

This intriguing experiment from J. Walter Thompson Sydney and Unilever detergent brand OMO highlights the goodness of dirt.

Speight’s - ‘Unfinished Projects’

DDB Sydney and The Sweet Shop’s Damien Shatford think they’ve unlocked the trick to getting stuff done with this Speight’s ad.

Samsung - ‘brainBAND’

Leo Burnett Sydney and Samsung highlight the danger of concussion, a common injury in both rugby and Australian rules football, with this smart piece of technology.

New Zealand Transport Agency - ‘Hello’

New Zealand Transport Agency ads rarely disappoint. This hilariously awkward newbie by Clemenger BBDO Wellington kept the trend running.

Chartered Accounts - 'Cake'

Mmmmm… cake… Excuse us while we drool Homer Simpson-style at this animated ode to the chocolate cake from Joy Agency, produced by Sixty40 with post from Heckler.

Lexus - 'Step Forward'

M&C Saatchi and Rapid Films hooked up with wingsuit pilot Jeb Corliss for this death-defying stunt for Lexus.

nbn - 'Internet Uninterrupted'

Oh. My God. We can’t tell you how much we relate to this spot from BWM Dentsu and Plaza Films from Internet provider nbn. The frustrations of strangulated broadband speeds jump into the real world to amusing effect.

Foxtel - 'Powered By Entertainment'

William. Shatner. Stars in. This epic spot for. Foxtel. Filmgraphics Entertainment’s David Deneen shot this extravaganza with Clemenger BBDO and Foxtel’s inhouse creative team Felix.

Bonds - ‘The Boys’

Balls personified in these laugh out loud funny films for Bonds by Clemenger BBDO and Guilty Content’s Tony Rogers.

Foxtel - ‘Make It Yours’

The trials and tribulations of brilliant television in these funny Foxtel ads from Whybin\TBWA Syndey and Finch’s Nick Ball.

SEEK - ‘Super Fab’

Ball pits! Rabbits! Beach… meetings! Creative job perks aren’t always what they’re cracked up to be, as demonstrated by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Finch’s Brian Aldrich.

Whybin\TBWA Sydney has been turning ANZ Bank ATMs into GAYTMs in support of Mardi  Gras for a few years. But to mark the festival’s 10th anniversary they turned it up a notch and transformed the bank’s Oxford Street branch - at the heart of the parade route - into a GAYNZ branch.

Anchor - ‘Go Strong’

These inspiring, seamlessly crafted Anchor ads from Colenso BBDO and Exit Films’ Kiku Ohe mark an interesting direction for the dairy brand.

Tiger Beer - ‘The Wok’

Droga5 Sydney and The Sweet Shop’s SEGA celebrate the wok in this bad-ass ad that merges live action and animation.

Australia Day Lamb 2016 - ‘Commence Operation Boomerang’

The Monkeys’ Australia Day Lamb campaign is anticipated in Australia every year. For 2016 they set out to bring expat Aussies home for a proper BBQ.

Budget Direct - ‘Captain Risky - Jumping The Double Helix Divide!’

One year after 303Lowe Sydney introduced Budget Direct’s loveable daredevil Captain Risky, he completed his “most spectacular stunt”.

NRMA - ‘Go With’

This NRMA roadside assistance spot from GPY&R Sydney and Infinity Squared’s Dan Reisinger is inspired by real life stories from NRMA patrolmen.

Myer - ‘Find Christmas’

Brilliant copy makes this amusing Myer Christmas ad by Clemenger BBDO a complete joy.
