Big Spaceship Promotes Five on Management Team

Rob Thorsen moves from Head of Client Services to Managing Director

Brooklyn-based digital creative agency Big Spaceship has announced a range of promotions. At the executive level, Rob Thorsen is moving from Head of Client Services to Managing Director; Mark Pollard from VP Brand Strategy to EVP Strategy; and Chris Fahey from VP Product and User Experience to SVP Product and User Experience, effective immediately.

Since joining as Head of Account Management last year, Thorsen has partnered with agency founder Michael Lebowitz to continue to define and guide the agency on its path of ongoing industry leadership. In his new role, he will take on greater responsibility for the agency as a whole.

As Big Spaceship grows and the market evolves, a constant for the agency has been its commitment to strategic excellence. In recognition to their contribution, Pollard and Fahey will drive the agency disciplines critical to that mission in service to Big Spaceship's growing portfolio of clients.

The promotions come after a huge first half of the year for the Agency, which has won new clients in all their practice areas - from social to product to marketing and communications. Thorsen, Fahey and Pollard have served as important partners to the agency’s clients and their teams and will continue to develop new and deeper relationships in their expanded roles.

Along with these moves at the executive level, Big Spaceship has also elevated two key discipline leads.

Victor Piñiero will take on the newly created role of VP Social. Previously the agency's lead Content Director and widely recognized across the industry as a leading voice, Vic will lead Big Spaceship's growing social practice - a key center of excellence for the agency.

Tony Clement, who joined Big Spaceship last year to build out its analytics department, has been promoted from Strategy Director, Analytics to VP Analytics. In the expanded role, he’ll oversee the agency’s integration of the practice throughout all of its capabilities and manage its team of analysts.
