This week's guest judge is Lisa Greenberg, co-chief creative officer at Leo Burnett, Toronto.
BEST TV
Winner: The Flemish Centre for Suicide Prevention 'Reading Minds'.
What I loved about this spot was the rawness coupled with the simplicity.
The solitary nature of peoples thoughts is such a truth.
The craft: the music choice - a tiny beat of hope, the carwash, the casting, the restrain, very well done.
Runner up: Switzerland Tourism 'No One Upstages The Grand Tour of Switzerland'.
Part 2.
Still so entertaining.
"No one upstages the Grand Tour of Switzerland."
Not even Anne Hathaway and Rodger Federer. Love this spot.
BEST PRINT
Winner: LACOSTE 'Polo'.
Lacoste transcends time, style, gender, race.
There are not a lot of brands in the world with this ubiquitous appeal...
Love how they capitalized on this. When was the last time you saw a fashion shoot with two of the subjects wearing the same polo!!
Runner up: Kiwi Lager 'An ad that makes ads'.
Like that this print ad is interactive. It is, as its name suggests, an ad that makes an ad.
Will be interesting to see if future fans actually help the cause.
BEST OUTDOOR
Winner: Burger King 'All About The Whopper'.
Just one of those super smart brilliantly simple Burger King ideas.
So singular, so true.
Runner-up: Red Bull Valparaiso Cerro Abajo 'World's Best FPV Drone Shot?'.
A very epic effort. The tech and treatment involved to capture this matched with the sport is what is impressive here.
BEST INTERACTIVE
Winner: Dove 'Dove Selfie-Self Esteem Project'.
This is again a crazy reminder, leveraging the staggering stats and research Dove always uncovers.
What I found compelling in #DetoxYourFeed is that it encourages teens that it's OK to be setting their own beauty standards. A teen's greatest influence may still be a parent. An excellent twist using deepfake technology.
No runner-up.
