Altipla Films has the ability to shoot across all of Spain, including Canary and Balearic islands, offering a wide variety of locations. The country provides Altipla with endless possibilities to meet every creative and logistical need, no matter how unique. This time, the team had to find a desert with very specific characteristics. The team's expertise ensures that it delivers the perfect setting for every production.
From Barcelona to the Heart of Granada
This adventure was commissioned by Range Rover to unveil their new, highly confidential model. Accompanied by the creative minds from Accenture Song Agency and the Untold Studios friends.
An Epic Location
The location, a spectacular and arid western-style desert, presented its own set of challenges. Nestled far from civilisation, the nearest film hub was in Málaga, a three-hour drive from the set. Ensuring the necessary facilities and safety measures in such a remote environment required relentless dedication and meticulous planning.
Collaboration and Comfort on Set
The notable presence of clients from the agency, production company, and the final client, Range Rover, added to the dynamic on set. At Altiplà Films, the team prioritise creating a comfortable and unforgettable experience for its visiting crew. Despite the challenges, the synergy between the teams made the production process smooth and enjoyable. Offering all kinds of infrastructure suitable for the weather conditions.
The Confidential Star: The New Range Rover Model
The secrecy surrounding the new Range Rover car was paramount. Transported in a 19-meter truck all the way from the UK, the vehicle's arrival in Granada necessitated multiple secure unloadings to prevent any leaks. The extensive measures ensured that the new model remained a well-guarded secret throughout the shoot.
Base Camp: An Oasis in the Desert
The base camp was a bustling hub of activity, housing 80 crew members in the middle of nowhere. From work tents, catering services, trucks, portable restrooms, ambulances, to changing rooms, the setup was immense. This logistical feat ensured that the team had everything they needed to operate efficiently and comfortably.
Overcoming Challenges: A Testament to the Team
The adaptability and resilience of the trusted team were crucial in overcoming the challenges of working in such a remote and demanding location. The final twist came when the tam experienced a flat tire after wrapping up the last day of shooting. Stranded in the dark, in the middle of the mountains, exhaustion was evident, but the smiles never left faces. This moment encapsulated the spirit and determination of the incredible team to solve the last challenge of the project, as the van with a flat tire was blocking the passage of trucks and the entire filming convoy.
Reflecting on a Memorable Adventure
Looking back on this extraordinary project fills Altiplà Films with immense pride. The adventure it shared and the obstacles it overcame together have left an indelible mark on all of us. Altiplà Films are thrilled with the outcome and cherish the memories of this epic journey in the remote mountains of Granada.
