New social anti-smoking campaign

BBDO Moscow have launched a new social campaign designed to highlight the dangers of smoking. The project hangs around the provocative exclamation, "Don't you care?!".

The main goal of this campaign is to recall about unavoidable health problems that are awaiting tobacco lovers. Myocardial infarction, impotence and lung cancer are just a part of diseases' list which every smoker can face because of his addiction.

The BBDO Moscow team came up with a creative idea for series of posters with laconic design: all posters contain awful diagnoses printed in search box, that looks like a cigarette. Also each print contains QR-code leading to Foursquare online-page, where users can check-in at 10 nearest "No Smoking" places in Moscow. This check-in expresses intention to be free of tobacco and then the user can share his decision with friends and associates.

"We want to show people that it's better to be strong enough and give up smoking now instead of finding out life-threating illnesses later. Today in Russia we can see a definite progress in the fight against tobacco. New anti-smoking law that is active in many countries became legal in Russia just this summer. We believe: our society is changing step by step. We want to support this trend by social advertising".
