North Shields based clothing brand Barbour today launches its ‘Maybe Just Maybe’ campaign, created by advertising agency The Corner. A cinematic live action film to celebrate the iconic British brand’s partnership with another Christmas classic, Penguin’s The Snowman, by Roland Briggs, now in its 40th year.

Shot by director Roland Kennedy of Iconoclast, we follow the narrative of little Edie and her quest to meet The Snowman. Set on Christmas Eve, Edie is cosily watching The Snowman with her family, and is inspired to fly. Christmas Day dawns and with it the crunch and sparkle of a freshly laid snow, so she sets about building a beautiful snowman, then patiently but determinedly waits for him to come to life. As night descends, she stays hopeful, braving her way through the chill thanks to her dad’s gentle encouragement and his cosy, beloved Barbour. What happens next? You’ll just have to see.

The Corner have brought to life the anticipation, sheer determination and delight of one little girls’ quest to believe in the magic of Christmas.

Tom Ewart - Founding Partner and Chief Creative Officer at The Corner said, "Barbour and the story of The Snowman are two truly British traditions, handed down from generation to generation, intertwined in a narrative that makes Christmas so special. From wrapping up warm in an Ashby jacket to head out on a family country walk with the dog, to settling down to watch The Snowman as the fire crackles on Christmas Eve, we wanted to celebrate the power of stories, traditions, family and magic."
