Bobby Dillard and Tyler Buckler, co-founders of Blue Yonder, are known for their bold, creative, and unconventional approach to real estate development. The duo enlisted brand strategists Unfettered and The Graphic Standard to create an equally bold brand and website experience.

Unfettered led the way with brand strategy, crafting a positioning and personality that codified the unique characteristics of the company and its people.

The boldness of the Blue Yonder visual identity starts with the logo. A stylised bull, a symbol of strength and confidence, charges forward into an optimistic future. The logotype compliments the mark in its strength yet also serves as a counter-balance, bringing a degree of seriousness and establishment to the lockup.

The bedrock of the design system is unarguably the monochromatic color palette. Red is striking. Red is active. More importantly, red flies in the face of the company's name, 'Blue Yonder', creating tension (the good kind) and immediately establishing this brand likes to defy expectations.

Brand fonts were selected with flexibility and purpose in mind. The Graphic Standard led with an appropriately bold style for headlines, setting them in declarative, all-caps sans serif. The heavy-weight headlines are tempered by subheads set in a conversational serif, followed by body copy set in a highly legible and friendly geometric sans. Lastly, the humble caption is set in a modern monospace, because everyone knows monospace typefaces make everything better.

For the website design, The Graphic Standard combined these brand-defining elements with thoughtful motion, interactions, and transitions that not only make the experience more delightful but also amplify the brand’s personality.
