Novo Amor has announced 'Five Six Five’, a £10,000 fund to support the work of five young filmmakers, from five different countries, to make a short film under six minutes in length. Making his back catalogue available to filmmakers worldwide, Novo Amor hopes to give a platform to untold stories centred around the interaction between humanity and the environment.
Telling meaningful and emotive stories is not new to Novo Amor. Over the course of his three albums, he has commissioned music videos shining a light on the monolithic problem of plastic pollution in our oceans, the plight of sulphur miners in Kawah Ijen (Indonesia) and the devastating impact of climate change on air pollution in Mongolia’s capital, Ulaanbaatar (one of the world’s most polluted cities).
By engaging with film schools worldwide, and making use of his own social reach, Novo Amor plans to make this a truly global campaign. The five short films will be translated into English, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin to reach a wide audience.
Deadline is Sunday 19th December 2021 - 11:59pm
