Today, Optus has unveiled the final film in its '#GDayADay' series via TBWA\Sydney, featuring co-founder of The Huffington Post and founder and CEO of Thrive Global Arianna Huffington with her old friend former Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard.
The latest film in the series sees Huffington and Gillard reflecting on how people have stayed positive during this time and the importance of mental wellbeing organisations.
Says Mel Hopkins, head of marketing, Optus: “G’Day A Day launched in the midst of Covid-19 to inspire people to stay connected. In this last instalment we are delighted to bring together two fearless female leaders in conversation about the need, now more than ever, for empathy and collaboration.”
Throughout the campaign Optus has been sharing the stars’ video-calls as they provide their own positivity tips and encourage other Australians to do the same; check in on a friend, family member or even a work colleague.
The familiar faces that have featured in the campaign include Olympian Ian Thorpe and Formula One driver, Daniel Ricciardo, Paralympian Ellie Cole, singer Michael Bolton, as well as Ray Meagher, better known as Alf Stewart.
Adds Mel: “At the heart of this campaign is the idea of staying connected and optimistic, especially in uncertain times. These two inspiring women, who have had such an impact on politics, media, business and wellness, are the perfect finale for optimism as we move toward recovery.”
