With continued focus on accelerating Anomaly’s proposition in London, the company has announced the appointment of Toby Allen as its first chief creative officer. Toby will be joining Camilla Harrisson, partner and CEO, to lead the office’s next chapter of evolution and growth.
Toby has been responsible for some of the most awarded campaigns in recent years and has an unparalleled track record in delivering business impact through culture-forward work.
He led the transformation of the Bodyform/Essity business, breaking taboos, changing culture and transforming the business from $400m to $1bn+ in six years.
His work has been recognised globally including six Cannes Grand Prix and three consecutive Titanium Lions, four D&AD Black Pencils including Craft Pencil of the Decade. One Show Best in Show and seven Grands Prix, and 30 other Grands Prix awards around the world in everything from Integrated, Film, Digital, Use of Data, Craft, Creative Strategy and Creative Effectiveness.
As managing partner and chief creative officer, Toby will be tasked with continuing to diversify and expand the creative output across Anomaly’s client portfolio including; Diageo, Revolut, Unilever, Rimowa, Cancer Research UK and the newly won Women’s Professional Leagues Limited.
Toby joins from T&Pm where he was ECD then CCO since 2021. During that time, he led the agency to UK Agency of the Year at The Gerety’s, helped win the prestigious £1m Channel 4 Diversity in Advertising prize with E45 and collaborated with Snickers and Jose Mourinho on an AI project that went on to win three golds at this year’s Clio Sports awards. He was previously Deputy ECD at AMV BBDO, after building his career at BBH London and Wieden & Kennedy.
