Annette King Named CEO of Publicis Groupe UK

Annette King has been named as the CEO of Publicis Groupe in the UK. Currently the CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Group UK, Annette will be stepping into a new role that will see all of the Groupe’s operations in the UK. This includes Publicis Communications, Publicis.Sapient and Publicis Health.

The appointment of a Groupe CEO in the UK mirrors a similar model established in France and is aimed at increasing integration across the Groupe’s various capabilities.

In the interim period while the Groupe searched for a CEO, Steve King, CEO of Publicis Media, has been acting as ‘Executive Sponsor’ and establishing this new model. He has been actively involved in the recruitment process.

In an internal memo, Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe,  Arthur Sadoun told employees, “I have known Annette for many years now and have always been struck by her managerial skills, the loyalty and passion she inspires in her teams, the trust she has gained with her clients and the respect all of her peers throughout the industry have for her. I'm thrilled she is joining our team.”

It’s a huge departure as King has been at the Ogilvy group since joining OgilvyOne in August 2000 and was promoted to MD of OgilvyOne in 2008. She was named CEO of Ogilvy & Mather UK in 2014.
