Independent digital creative agency AnalogFolk, in partnership with podcast production company Pineapple Street Media, announced today that they’ve won a Webby Award (Judge’s Choice) for "Best Branded Podcast or Segment" for their TRAINED By Nike podcast. Winners will be honored at a star-studded ceremony on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Cipriani on Wall Street in New York City.
TRAINED is Nike’s first-ever podcast developed specifically for trainers but designed to let the world listen in on Nike's most cutting-edge conversations around the future of fitness. Host Ryan Flaherty, Senior Director of Nike Performance and trainer to elite athletes like Serena Williams and Marcus Mariota, interviews guests across the five facets of training (Movement, Mindset, Recovery, Nutrition and Sleep) to uncover the information and inspiration needed to help every individual at every level pursue their full potential.
The podcast has featured exclusive conversations with innovators like meditation expert and co-founder of Headspace, Andy Puddicombe; sleep authority and founder of The Huffington Post, Arianna Huffington; and performance scientist Brett Kirby of the Nike Sport Research Lab and the leading physiologist on Breaking2 – the brand's audacious attempt to break the two-hour marathon barrier.
“After working with Nike for many years, this is one of the projects we’re most proud of,” said Carren O’Keefe, partner/ECD at AnalogFolk. “TRAINED was an opportunity to help Nike launch its first podcast and it also aligned perfectly with our mission as an agency to use digital to make the analog world better. To be recognized with a Webby Award is incredibly gratifying and such an honor.”
This is AnalogFolk US’ second Webby Award win. In 2017, the agency won a Webby in the category of Best Mobile Site/Fitness & Recreation for Nike called “Nike Trainers Hub,” a mobile experience that provides tools to help athletes reach their maximum physical potential.
