You're in a large city with your car, heading to the store. But there is only one small parking spot – what do you do? You ask your passenger to get out and help with parking. Or, you trust in your car's in-built automatic parking assistant.
Leo Burnett relocated the Fiat 500's parking assistant technology by creating an interactive parking billboard: Different characters react to the cars in front of the parking spot and lend a helping hand. This innovative billboard demonstrates in a very pleasant way how easy, stress-free and safe it is to park with the Fiat parking assistant.
For the realization of the creative idea, Viktor Kislovskij, Creative Technologist at Leo Burnett, developed a special software which synchronizes the movements of the characters' hands to the distance of the next vehicle. Ultrasonic sensors were attached to the video billboard and the vehicle behind which observed the parking maneuvers and operated correspondingly to the gesture of the assistants on the video billboard.
Maren Dragon, Head of Brand Marketing Communication at Fiat said: "The idea is smart and innovative, it is fun - just like the Fiat 500 with its iconic design and its Italian spirit."
