SKUNK director Amanda Blue has directed a new one-off scripted comedy, 'How Europe Stole My Mum', which will air on Channel 4 tonight, Thursday 31st October - the now cancelled Brexit deadline date.
Directed by the award-winning documentary director, the show illustrates the UK’s political landscape at a vital turning point in English history with hilarious impressions and flights of fancy. It was edited by founding partner of The Assembly Rooms Nik Hindson, written by comedian Kieran Hodgson, and stars Harry Enfield, Liza Tarbuck and Tom Palmer.
Amanda says: “It was thrilling to shape a comedic narrative that explored why and how we’ve arrived at the sh#% show that is Brexit. To find a funny and personal way through the polarising divisions. Through Kieran’s Hodgson’s brilliant comedic writing - to humanise us, teach us a thing or two and remind us to laugh again.”
‘How Europe Stole My Mum’ will air tonight, Thursday 31st October 11.05pm, Channel 4.
