Following a competitive pitch last month, Ekstasy will create the launch campaign for Algramo. The Chilean start up landed in the UK in early 2022 to introduce refilling shopping using smart refillable containers and dispensers.
Currently, over five million tons of plastic are used annually in the UK, but just 1.2 million are recycled. Moreover, the Government's target by 2042 is to eliminate avoidable plastic waste, focusing on reducing it. To raise brand awareness and empower customers to buy more sustainably, Ekstasy is working on a multi-country campaign to encourage people to adopt refilling household products, starting with laundry detergents.
Research suggests that 49% of British people would be willing to shop more 'green' if the purchase was affordable and accessible. Algramo does just that. It is introducing us to the circular economy in our everyday shopping routine.
Mike Saraswat, CEO and founder of Ekstasy, said, "Algramo is on a mission to reduce single-use plastic by getting everyone to use their smart refill packaging. Ekstasy is delighted to help Algramo grow their awareness for such an important issue in the UK."
Javier Arriola, head of marketing of Algramo said, “Creativity is the key to raise awareness about circularity as a solution to climate change. The more people identify with this message, the more people will believe and join this revolution”.
The campaign will consist of online ads running across the Algramo channels in the UK and its other markets, Chile, Indonesia, Mexico and US.
