AIRBAG’s Benn Jae has directed the latest music video for iconic Australian duo The Veronicas. Each scene of 'Think of Me' is its own wondrous escape, a glimpse into a picturesque world of surreal adventure.
The clip marks the duo’s first single in two years.
Says Benn: “For me there is a real beauty in the darkness of a break-up. Regardless of the process, everyone generally gets to the end of the hideously long dark tunnel, and a new day begins. Once you make it through it’s pretty empowering.”
Shot in New Zealand over two days, the music video features a series of stunning locations and mystical, dreamlike scenarios from ethereal mountaintop views to the gardens of a crumbling, hauntingly gritty mansion.
Says Martin Box, EP/head of production, AIRBAG: “Benn Jae has a great talent for capturing beautifully evocative imagery. Here he’s created a captivating mood that’s part utopia and part apocalypse – the duality of any decent breakup, really.”
Says Benn: “I love shooting in New Zealand. The natural light, the landscapes, the crew, the endless location options – it doesn’t get any better. Having grown up in the region, I’ve been sitting on some sweet little location gems for a while, and every now and then the right idea comes along and we get to use a few of them.”
