On August 4th 2006, in the midst of civil war, many civilians, including 17 aid workers of Action against Hunger (ACF), were killed in the town of Muttur, in Sri Lanka.
This massacre is not only the most dramatic crime ever committed against humanitarians, but also qualifies as a war crime.
Since 2006, Action Contre la Faim has been fighting for the opening of an international investigation supervised by the United Nations and has entrusted the task of mobilizing public opinion to
TBWA\Paris.
To encourage more people to sign the petition for the opening of an investigation, the agency has developed an innovative video-petition online on dailymotion.
To raise awareness, the film presents a fictitious testimony. The film manages to express the terrible reality with poetry. Symbolically playing with the white NGO’s T-shirt and the victims’ blood shedded on it, the film gives a voice to the last witnesses of this horrible day.
The video features an integrated signature module allowing the viewer to sign the online petition directly in the video.
