ACE Collective ‘Blind Date Dinner’ Connects Bold People Doing Brave Things in Amsterdam
On Feb 1st, 20 creative entrepreneurs were invited on a blind date with the call to action to leave their ‘game face’ at home and come prepared to share their trials and triumphs to inspire others in the creative community along.
The curated dinner was part of the Amsterdam Creative Entrepreneurs (ACE) Collective, a side-hustle of The Humblebrag, and an initiative supported by the team at creative meeting space Your Space.
What began as a curation of creative professionals in 2017 over ‘pot luck’ dinners has turned into a community of 300 + creative entrepreneurs and more than 10 dinners and one full-day learning event.
The goal? To bring together bold people doing brave things to create an intimate, peer-to-peer learning environment for creative entrepreneurs.
The first event for 2019 took the form of a ‘blind date’ dinner with the next event planned for early spring.
“Being an entrepreneur is both exhilarating and terrifying; and traditional networking sucks,” says The Humblebrag Founder Lucy von Sturmer. "So to connect with others on a similar path I started inviting creative entrepreneurs to dinners. The interest grew, and one year later we have a name - ACE Collective!"
