Cash is king in campaign from Ogilvy Bolivia

A ground breaking premiere from Ogilvy Bolivia and the fintech app BLINK challenges the norms of its category with a bold ad, as daring as the app it promotes.

"I've always admired the absurdity in Asian advertising. It's the purest form of entertainment. You watch it because you simply have to," says El Turco Medina, CCO of Ogilvy Bolivia, introducing the latest creation from the award-winning Latin office of the world's most creative network according to the WARC ranking.

ABU UNCENSORED, created for the fintech brand Blink, is a commercial that embodies precisely that: absurdity throughout its 107 seconds.

"Ever since I began my career, I always dreamed of a spot like this – an advertisement that challenges the status quo and proposes a very Latin style through absurdity. I think we achieved that. ABU UNCENSORED is a delightful mix of daring elements and somewhat pretentious ones that break away from the ordinary and play with naivety, questioning possibilities, and the childlike impact of visual/narrative play. All packaged in flawless craftsmanship, elements that keep you engaged in the story and eager to find out what the heck will happen at the end of the commercial. I've seen this charming Asian style shine at Cannes many times, and I always wanted to propose something from Latin America, and here it is," continues El Turco.

Martín Villegas, chief marketing officer of the fintech brand, adds, "Today, it's very challenging to bring product differentials to the table; everything has been done. And even though Blink is a start up that does have them in its proposal, we wanted to stress the brand's imprint and differentiate from creativity/personality. Produced by Makina Films, with Executive Production by Pedro Pablo Escobar and directed by the renowned Director Julio Barragán, this commercial promises to generate buzz. This combination of Ogilvy x Blink x Makina Films has already shone in regional and global festivals such as El Ojo de Iberoamérica, LIA, One Show, D&AD, and Cannes, including a Grand Prix and several Gold awards, positioning Ogilvy's Bolivian branch as one of the most outstanding operations in the network.
