Following on from his hugely successful collaborations with Lily Allen - Hard Out Here and Our Time, - Good Egg’s Chris Sweeney delivers Lily’s most intimate and relaxed promo to date.
In the first ever video shot at Glastonbury we follow Lily through the festival clearly feeling very at home, having a ball. Chris Sweeney’s light but steady hand gives the film its home video feel and the way Lily looks and performs shows how happy she is, waving at friends, joking with other Glastonbury revellers, natural, beautifully at ease.
The video tells not only the story of the song and Lily’s love for her husband Sam, but reflects on how integrated Lily’s life has been with Glastonbury, where indeed she met Sam and a place she also clearly loves.
The video, intercut with footage of Lily through various Glastonbury’s since childhood ,leaves the audience feeling as if they have been privileged to watch one of the country’s favourite artist’s right of passage.
Lily’s adventurous mischief is complimented by the festival backdrop making this video and indeed song one of her most stripped back, cheeky, of course a little dark but always startlingly honest and intimate.
