A-MNEMONIC music have composed the original score for BBC Radio 4’s high-profile audio adaptation of 'Casino Royale', set to broadcast this Easter Sunday at 3pm (20th April 2025). The hour-long dramatisation marks the latest in the BBC’s acclaimed James Bond series - and brings a bold, cinematic approach to audio storytelling.
Scored by A-MNEMONIC’s Toby Jarvis, the music plays a pivotal role in immersing listeners in the world of 007. From the tension of shadowy interrogations to the opulence of high-stakes baccarat tables, the score underpins the drama with a sophisticated sonic palette. Designed to evoke mood and drive emotion, the music guides the audience through Bond’s first mission, shaping scenes and heightening narrative intensity throughout.
The production features an all-star cast: Toby Stephens reprises his celebrated role as James Bond, joined by Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville as the villainous Le Chiffre. Susannah Fielding (This Time with Alan Partridge) portrays Vesper Lynd, with Josh Stamberg (WandaVision, The Morning Show) as CIA agent Felix Leiter. Their performances offer a fresh, gripping take on Ian Fleming’s classic spy thriller.
Rob Dunham, executive producer at A-MNEMONIC, commented, “Scoring for audio drama is an exciting challenge - it’s about creating atmosphere and emotion when there’s nothing visual to fall back on. For Bond, we needed to convey style, danger, and tension purely through music.”
Tune in to BBC Radio 4 or BBC Sounds at 3pm on Easter Sunday for a gripping hour of espionage, brought to life through stellar performances and an evocative score from A-MNEMONIC.
