In a significant shift for Hogarth, Justin Ricketts has been promoted to global chief transformation officer at Hogarth. He will perform this role alongside continuing as CEO of Hogarth AUNZ.
As he transitions into the expanded role, Justin will focus on key transformation initiatives aimed at optimising global client partnerships and enhancing the Hogarth offering through AI and new product developments. He joined Hogarth in 2017 and has since transformed the Australian operations into a flagship model.
In response to Justin's elevation, Anna Quinn has been hired from MAXMEDIALAB as managing director for Hogarth Australia.
"Day-to-day management of Hogarth AUNZ will gradually transition to Anna (MD) and Carol Berdayes (COO), with my role locally being focused on growth (new business and new products and services)," Justin told LBB.
"I anticipate this will end up representing 20-30% of my time," he continued, explaining that his first priority in the role will be, "onboarding Anna and Carol to agree on strategic priorities for 2025, introducing Anna to key clients, and planning and executing a plan to transition out of the day-to-day."
Anna will report directly to Justin.
“Our proposition continues to resonate well with large enterprise clients – both locally and globally," Justin said.
"Globally, it's really about driving what we call a 'dual transformation strategy' - where we are reinventing and transforming our core business whilst concurrently building our new products and services to ensure we continue to remain relevant and keeping our clients on the edge of their current and future content needs.
"It's a mix of optimising and future-proofing existing client partnerships and driving internal transformation as we increasingly embrace AI to transform our end-to-end content pipelines/supply chains. As global role ramps up, I'll be working different shifts to align with various global time-zones and also likely to do more international travel (most likely focusing on agile transformation sprints)."
When asked about the need for a new global role, Justin said that the industry is undergoing a period of "significant change and transformation."
"As the world's leading/largest creative production company, we need to be proactively driving the transformation of our future offering," Justin said.
He said clients need to consolidate and simplify their end-to-end content pipelines.
"As we continue to grow, we believe it’s time to invest in our local leadership team and after an extensive review of the market we believe that we’ve found someone in Anna with the right experience and passion to really impact our next horizon of growth across Australia and New Zealand."
Anna will be responsible for ensuring that the Hogarth Australia business is delivering the best work, alongside meeting commercial goals and client expectations.
“I am incredibly impressed with the vision that Richard Glasson and Justin Ricketts have for Hogarth, especially their focus on innovation through cutting-edge AI tools and technologies,” Anna said.
“The talent and dedication of the team here is truly inspiring, and I’m thrilled to be part of such an innovative organisation. Being part of the WPP network presents incredible opportunities, and under Rose Herceg's leadership in Australia, I am confident we will continue to drive exceptional growth and success.”
Anna brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience across various sectors, including media, digital, and finance, establishing a reputation for building high-performance teams. She also spent a period at Nine's Powered as general manager.
