Brand Transformation Agency Grizzly Launches ‘Adventurous CMO’ Podcast

Co-hosted by CEO Nate Spees and CCO Greg Gibson, the podcast invites brand leaders, from CMOs to creative leaders and clients, to join in on conversations centred around bravery, growth, and value in today’s marketing landscape

Independent creative agency, Grizzly, has launched a live show and podcast titled ‘Adventurous CMO’. Hosted by Grizzly’s CEO Nate Spees and CCO Greg Gibson, who have decades of brand-building experience between them, the show aims to dive deeper into the big questions, problems, and challenges facing the marketing community today.

“Adventurous CMO was born from a simple premise: marketing leadership is getting harder, not easier. CMOs are under pressure to move fast, make brave decisions, and deliver growth – in every company, every category, every quarter, everywhere,” Nate comments, speaking of the inspiration behind the podcast. “We were inspired by the questions and conversations we continue to have with clients: How is that brand doing it? What do I need to be thinking about? How should I leverage AI? What challenges do your other clients face?”

The podcast, in addition to drawing on Nate and Greg’s own insight and expertise, will also play host to conversations with leaders behind some of the world’s most adventurous brands, in an effort to provide an educational and valuable resource for its listeners.

The show is centred around three rules: Real, Relatable, and Regular.

Real - ‘Adventurous CMO’ is designed to be more about the people we’re talking to, and less about the work. Looking beyond a person’s bio and into their leadership approach, influences and inspirations, goals, ambitions, and how they show up for their team

Relatable - Insight gleaned from the podcast should help listeners draw relatable parallels or connections to their own experiences

Regular - The show will run weekly, hosted live every Thursday on LinkedIn, before becoming available to stream on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other platforms

“Adventurous CMO is a space to curate conversation and create community,” Greg explains, “The show is the result of over a decade building a brand transformation agency. It’s an opportunity to bring together the relationships we’ve built, the expertise we’ve developed, and to extend how we think, work, and lead to conversations for anyone who wants to learn more about what it takes to build brands today.

“There are plenty of polished shows that highlight case studies of award-winning work. We believe there’s a need for conversations where you actually get to know the people behind that work. Where you get to learn more about the work behind the work. Where we can challenge conventional thinking and shine a light on the real challenges facing marketing and creative leaders in a rapidly changing world.”

The show premiers live on LinkedIn on April 3rd at 3pm EST / 12pm PST, with an introductory episode that will focus on the importance of creative bravery, and why it matters more than ever for brand leaders, plus it will share a preview of the kinds of guests and conversations you can expect to hear in the following weeks.
