Dentsu Creative New York's campaign aims to console the American Football fans who's teams did not make it to The Big Game

During football playoffs this year, 7-Eleven is supporting…well, the losing teams and their fans. The fact is, there are more losers than winners during the playoffs. After all, only two teams make it to the Big Game. Thirty don’t. And a handful come painfully close. 

For those fans, the playoffs and especially the day of The Big Game can be...hard. So, 7-Eleven is turning their BOGO pizza offer (when ordered for delivery on the 7NOW App) into an Emotional Support Pizza for the fans whose teams don’t make it to the big game. Take a look:

The campaign, created in partnership with Dentsu Creative, dentsu X and Tag, is launching this evening, just before the AFC and NFC championship games, with a :60 video. Based on the outcome of the weekend’s games, the campaign will continue with ultra-reactive and targeted local messaging running in real-time OOH, social, radio, to create surround sound that not only encourages Emotional Support Pizzas for the losers, but for the winners, encourages fans to send Emotional Support Pizzas to their friends. Stay tuned

The campaign will run in phases through Feb 9, because when you’re down bad, nothing helps quite like free pizza.
