Wim Wenders directs ‘Time Passing’ for Jil Sander in his second collaboration with the fashion brand, following on from his award winning five-film campaign for their SS17 collection.
The new three-minute film is infused with a surreal element and a Groundhog Day-esque passage of time storytelling technique, which serves well to showcase the Autumn-Winter 2018 collection.
The film was shot on location in Berlin with DOP Jorg Widmer who also worked with Wim on his Academy Award Nominated ‘Buena Vista Social Club’.
The music was again composed by Laurent Petitgand who scored the soundtrack to Wim’s recent Academy Award Nominated ‘The Salt Of The Earth’.
It was beautifully graded in London by MPC’s Jean-Clement Soret and finally, watch out for the cameo appearance of the infamous pink dress from Wim's 3rd Academy Award Nominated film ‘Paris, Texas’ originally worn by Nastassja Kinski.
