The second edition of YouTube Works Aw​​ards 2022 in Poland has ended. An event created by Google was designed to identify the most innovative and effective Polish campaigns launched on YouTube. 180heartbeats + JUNG v MATT was responsible for the creative concept, video & social media assets production of the campaign, as well as the organisation of the final event.

YouTube Works Awards first took place in the UK in 2017. Today the Awards are held in more than 20 countries, including the US, Brazil, and Japan, and as of 2021, in Poland as well. The event aims to recognise the most creative and effective Polish campaigns ran on YouTube from July 2021 to June 2022. It’s the only competition in Poland, which gives equal attention to both these values. The competing campaigns are judged by a jury of 27 experts, whose combined experience cuts across many sectors and industries (from creative directors, film directors, producers, and clients to representatives of media and research houses) and ensures objective evaluation. Every year the competition gains in popularity in Poland. In 2022 more than 119 applications were submitted.

Winners turn judges 

Behind every award-winning campaign is a brilliant mind that makes it happen. Last year’s winners were invited to the 2022 Awards jury, including:

  • Jakub Barzak, Storytel (Storytel is one of the world's largest audiobook and ebook streaming services and offers more than one million titles worldwide

  • Monika Młynarczyk, Center for Women's Rights (one of the biggest NGOs working towards ensuring women's rights in Poland)

  • Marcin Sienkowski, OLX (OLX is the world's leading classifieds platform in growth markets. OLX makes it easy to connect for people who want to buy, sell or exchange used goods and services.)

 

The marketers decided to reinterpret the most iconic advertising spots while guiding this year's participants in preparation to contest submissions.

As Olga Kudryk, marketing manager at Google Poland mentioned - “The success on YouTube is the consequence of splendid creations and engagement of platform users. This year, thanks to the new categories, we focus on the comprehensiveness of marketing activities on the platform and appreciation of these ground-breaking directions in communication.”

“This year we have put effort into promoting the idea of the event in Poland and facilitating the preparation of competition entries. Therefore, in addition to the key visual and claim, we have prepared many assets for social media and marketing platforms. For the first time, we have had the pleasure to produce the entire Awards gala, and we are super proud of the results." - says Katarzyna Czarnecka-Iwińska, business director at 180heartbeats.

180heartbeats + JUNG v MATT agency was responsible, for the second year in a row, for the creative concept and production of the promotional campaign and, for the first time, for the organisation of the offline event - the Awards gala. During the event, the agency moved the online to offline by converting the YouTube platform into an offline experience, as the whole stage was transformed into a YouTube frame with suitable multimedia content.
