The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Flame Assistant to join our growing VFX team. Candidates should be creative, organised, willing to learn and have a love of visual effects. Some prior experience using Flame, Flame Assist, Smoke or Flare is essential. 

The Role

The Role will initially involve assisting more experienced Flame Artists. As your skills develop you will be called on to handle complete shots and take on smaller jobs by yourself. You will also learn the technical requirements of creating a TVC.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up suites
• Providing support for flame artists
• Media Management 
• Archiving projects
• Rotoscoping
• Clean-up shots
• Conforming
• Clocking
• Clearcast Rules
• TVC Creation
• Hardings Compliance
• Mastering
• QC in suite
• Keep VFX reels up to date

The Person

• Have good communication and team
• Working skills
• Be able to take direction and be willing to address constructive feedback
• Ability to deliver on schedule, working calmly and efficiently under pressure
• Have an understanding of composition and colour
• Have basic knowledge of relevant software; Photoshop, Illustrator, Nuke, After Effects
• Be methodical, thorough and patient, with a good eye for detail
