What you’ll do

You can set a vision and drive concepting and ideation in pursuit of innovative approaches and solutions. You can lead client workshops, presentations, pitches and reviews, as well as lead and mentor up-and-coming designers and help them grow while achieving the design objectives.

You are a strong, confident communicator who can split their time between leading projects (80% of your time) and leading the team (20%). You are excited to think about processes and design upskilling and are able to give feedback that makes the team better. You also cultivate creative inspiration across the design team.

You also have or can demonstrate:

- 10+ years experience leading design engagements across all aspects of a digital product

- 2+ years experience leading, mentoring, and teaching design teams product related skills

- Can execute 0 to 60 on a range of digital product design tasks - including product strategy, sprint planning, information architecture, user experience design, design systems, user interface design, branding, graphics, iconography, animation, photography, 3D, illustration, prototyping, documentation, and QA // for both MVPs and continuous deployment // across Web, iOS, Android, Meta Quest, and Apple Vision Pro… you go very “deep” by doing top tier product design, and you are comfortable executing and/or leading in all these lanes

- Ability to solve difficult design problems and create frameworks from these solutions

- Provide feedback to strategic, branding, and product brainstorming sessions

- Oversee every aspect of a project and help drive cross-functional meetings

- Natural ability to communicate, present, and gain buy-in internally and with clients

- Able to build trust through exceptional management skills, guiding internal and external communications with executive-level stakeholders

- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in English

- On larger projects, direct and manage younger aspiring designers on the project
