About the Role
We are looking for a budding junior music supervisor who can join our team and have a genuine impact on how our company grows. This is a truly exciting opportunity, and the work will be diverse. You will learn first-hand from music supervisors with decades of experience and be encouraged to bring your own ideas and work to the table. You will be expected to work with existing clients as well as actively pursue new business opportunities. The main responsibilities of the role are outlined but not limited to the list below:
Creative research: Full music research across all projects as required. Writing up music briefs to deliver to rights holders and working closely with the team through the pitch process on all submissions and editing to picture.
Composition & re-records: Assisting the team from initial briefings, feedback sessions through to final deliveries.
Music licensing: Securing the rights for music copyrights and talent. Collating rights holders’ information and preparing request forms.
New business: Confidently finding new clients and bringing in new business to the company.
Library management: Ensuring the catalogue is organized and updated. Staying on top of new artists and releases.
Networking: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and rights holders. Attending industry events – gigs, conferences, showcases and team listening sessions. Keeping regular contact with clients through face-to-face meetings and regular email correspondence.
Requirements
1-2 years minimum experience in the music and/or creative industries sector.
A basic understanding of music rights.
A deep understanding of how music connects to visuals and a passion for music, film, TV and popular culture.
A passion for learning all parts of music supervision.
Drive and motivation to find new clients and forge new working relationships to help with company growth.
Great self-starter attitude, proactive and motivated.
Strong time management skills.
Highly organised with attention to detail and great communication skills.
A good team player.
Useful Skills
Music to picture editing.
Music production/DAW skills.
Experience creating Keynote or PowerPoint presentations.
Word and Excel.
Experience using DISCO.
