We were approached by Create Health who were looking for an engaging 'Appelesque' front to an upcoming project. We were given a rough sketch and a task to create a 3D Modeled CGI brain with a sleek, but vintage, radio on the front. Hence the title 'Tuning the Brainwaves'. Our first challenge was to find the perfect balance between a realistic brain that didn't have the natural, gory nature one would expect. We played around with multiple textures and materials to produce a complicated brain shader that fitted the brief perfectly. Whilst modelling the radio fascia we had to find ways to show aspects of older radios, as well as the new modern facade that resembles the cutting edge tech of the medical industry.

We produced the models, materials and lighting aside from the brain waves texture (Which was generously provided by Create Health).

For an awareness campaign to help Mente Autism launch their ground-breaking device. Our challenge was to simplify the science behind this revolutionary product so that both families and clinicians could quickly understand the benefits of this treatment approach to Autism.

The device works by creating tailored sounds to calm and engage the minds of autistic children using EEG neurofeedback, delivering personalised binaural beats to maximise positive behavioural change.

Mente Autism tunes into the brain like a radio tunes into a channel - balancing sounds and frequencies to gain clarity and focus. Combining a brain with the visual metaphor of a radio, we show the cognitive and behavioural benefits of the product, whilst signifying to how the product works with the child.
