We learned from the original launch for the V-Series Blackwing Pit Crew campaign that no amount of detail is too much for this affluent gear-head audience, especially when it comes straight from the pros. For the launch of the super-exclusive CT4-V Blackwing Track Edition vehicles, we revisited the beloved roundtable conversation execution and decided to take it to the next level: a 3-episode podcast miniseries that allowed for enthusiastic long-form storytelling without the long copy.

We brought together the ultimate crew of professional IMSA drivers and Cadillac marketing, design and engineering professionals moderated of course by long-time IMSA commentator, Brian Till. The conversations were shaped around the three legendary race tracks that inspired the Track Edition designs: Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta and Sebring. Then we stepped back and let the stories fly.

The collaboration resulted in three episodes jam-packed with behind-the-scenes content that we knew our fans would appreciate. We carefully calibrated a content ecosystem that included email, SMS and a landing page to promote and host our episodes - with SMS going out to an exclusive few for access to episodes before the larger audience. Our clients were so excited about the podcast that they utilized their Spotify partnership to host episodes as well. While the full analytics are still forthcoming, we do know that the mobile landing page traffic resulted in 69% engagement with the podcast. It’s a huge milestone that will continue to set benchmarks as the very first Cadillac brand podcast.
