With Ireland due to play France in the 2021 Six Nations rugby tournament, Nissan Ireland wanted to show their support. Instead of going to the game wearing our Irish jerseys and cheering the team on, most of us would be sitting at home watching the game on TV, missing the electric atmosphere and energy of a packed stadium.

The Nissan LEAF is Ireland’s bestselling electric vehicle and it has one thing in common with the Irish rugby team: green energy. To visualise our support, we combined an EV battery icon with a symbol of Irish rugby supporters: the green scarf.

This ad ran in Irish newspapers the weekend the team was playing and even though we could not be with them on the day, we are all looking forward to getting back to stadiums, wearing our green scarves and cheering on our team but for now, we hope this ad showed our support.
