Christmas saw the return of the Heathrow Bears; symbolising reunion at this important time of homecoming. Edward and Doris were used as a vehicle to dramatise Heathrow’s role in facilitating the gift of bringing people Closer to loved ones. The Bears have hung up their Winter coats for retirement in Florida, but the strain of being separated from family is just too strong to keep them away. Spurred to catch the red-eye back to Heathrow Airport, which holds so many emotional moments for all travellers, the Bears reunite with their family, realising that making it home truly makes it Christmas.
