Black Dog Films specialise in innovative filmmaking from new creative talent. As part of the Ridley Scott Creative Group, the production company works across music videos, live/concert visuals, documentaries, features, and branded projects.   

The Role  

Black Dog Films are looking for a full-time Director’s Rep/Team Assistant to work from our London office. The rep will be responsible for managing our roster of talent, working with our Global Head to manage project flow, build and maintain relationships with brands, labels, and agencies, and identify opportunities for new business.   

The rep will also work alongside the RSA Films team to further establish development pathways for directors and identify and sign new creative talent. The role will require working closely with the Ridley Scott Creative Group Head of PR to assist with festivals, panels, events, awards, and industry initiatives to explore opportunities for promotion and publicity.  

We are looking for a meticulously organised person with fluidity and initiative to address challenges unique to representing the respective interests of a diverse and exciting roster. A knowledge of production and production budgets in the creative industries is advantageous but not essential. Basic competency on Adobe programmes is desirable.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:    

- Assisting Black Dog team in day-to-day tasks 

- Building and maintaining relationships with brands, music labels, and agencies  

- Managing projects / treatments / meeting workflow    

- Exploring non-traditional advertising opportunities   

- Working with the Media Manager to update and manage director reels   

- Creative input to treatments and pitching   

- Working closely with RSA Films reps to establish career pathways for directors   

- Working with the Head of PR to manage director/company communications   

- Helping to programme talks, screenings, and panels   

- Weekly global sales teams meeting with EU/US    

- Scouting and signing new talent - this would be on a Global level

The role is full time hybrid. Salary dependent on experience.
