december19 are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Media Buying Executive to join the Investment Team, supporting on key client accounts in a growing independent agency.

december19 is an independent media agency committed to nurturing and growing brands that are new to market, or larger brands with relatively small budgets who typically lose out to bigger spenders in larger media agencies.

We offer large agency experience in a small agency environment, competing through our independent approach to decision-making and personalised approach to client service, alongside established media planning tools, experienced media specialists and long-standing relationships with media owners.

We’re expanding our planning & account management team due to several recent client wins. We work with clients across all industries and sectors, from FinTech to Food, B2B to Charities. Some of our clients include Xero, GWI, Ecco, Royal Academy of Engineering, Material Focus and Workspace.

We’re looking for a fast learner who has the autonomy to thrive in an independent agency. But someone who’s also a team player and isn’t afraid to lend a hand to succeed in a fast-paced environment. 

 

No prior experience is required as there will be a full training programme; you just need an interest in the communications industry, advertising and media. Oh, and Pizza!

 

THE ROLE

The Media Buying Executive supports the Senior Media Buying Executive with the implementational planning of campaigns, helping them to manage the negotiation and purchase of media space on behalf of all our clients.

The Media Buying Executive will be responsible for the smooth running of campaigns, monitoring delivery and tracking of campaigns, from communicating the correct information to all members of the team, to facing clients and reporting to clients and team. As well as ensuring delivery and tracking of campaigns.

 

This role predominately covers the channels where the process is still based on requests for proposals, tenders, quotes and human negotiation - Publisher, Audio and OOH.

-     A confident people-person

-     Have a keen interesting in all things advertising

-     Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a cool outlook

-     A personable and professional character that will allow you to build client rapport

-     Adept at interpreting data and identifying themes and patterns to pull out insights

-     Strong attention to detail and being highly organised

-     A pro-active approach to problem solving

 Employment type

-       Full-time

-        Hours: 7.5 hours per day (flexible start between 8am and 10am)

-        Hybrid working policy: typically, 3 days in the office, 2 from home 

-        Office location: Clerkenwell

-        Pay: from £23K (first year potential earning up to £27k based on performance)
